| First of all, I'd like to thank Greg, Damon, Mindi, and Alex for hosting this event. Without them, we would have gotten together but it would not have been at such a nice location. It seems like mere words are not adequate to fully express our gratitude - maybe some pictures will do the trick. Also, many thanks to trackstar (Patrick M.) and Pats300ZX (Pat M.) and anyone else who was involved with selecting the site for this year's dinner. It was a great location and not too hard to reach. Any further and Pats300ZX probably wouldn't have driven his car :-P (Sorry Pat, I couldn't resist the opportunity). On to the summary of the night's events. Cars began to arrive around 6:00 PM and the cleaning commenced for the show and shine. It was a great sight to see all of the Z32's (and Z33's) lined up in such a photographic location. Tikigod will be relieved to know that there are no pictures of cars parked on the grass in this post :-) Here are some general pictures of the line up and people milling around trying to figure out which car to vote for:

Junxster, Spee, and Nixit (or was it Ni[x]it?)
A close up of Pats300ZX's car. The pictures don't do the car justice at all (note: there wasn't a trailer in sight within 5 miles of the country club.....he drove it):

I did manage to find a small flaw in his paint and thought I'd better get a close up so he will know where to find it when he goes to get it fixed.
Heading inside to the country club, the first thing to do was get checked-in for the dinner and receive the beautiful t-shirt and a surprise bonus.....a tt.net shot glass (sorry, I forgot to snap a picture of one):
Here are the trophies that would be awarded later in the evening: 3rd Place
 2nd Place
 1st Place
 Admin's Choice
Here's the view from the dinner area - you could not have asked for better weather to take in this view (as well as being outside and milling around the cars).

 Bar shot:
I tried to capture as many people in pictures as possible - unfortunately I didn't get all of the names. Please don't be offended if you're not called out by name.

After we ate dinner, Damon was our gracious emcee (along with Greg's assistance - I think he was getting a refill on his Cap'n Morgan and Coke when I shot this picture).
I did catch Greg attempting to grope the podium:
Greg took over, hooked up the computer and proceeded to show us something new. Well.....sort of new - I think most everybody knows about his baby daughter (now 14 months old). He denies that this baby looks like him, but we all think he's a lying sack of shitake mushrooms. That's a "mini-me" if I've ever seen one:
After getting connected to the dial-up modem (56K, we felt your pain), Greg logs on to tt.net, only to see a familiar sight (well, familiar to me at least :-P). Greg vowed to take revenge on the mod who deleted his post.
Finally, the moment some of you have been waiting for. Drum roll please. Coming soon to a tt.net near you, a new feature on the site. You will have the ability to open a post within a smaller window on that same page. It's a pretty slick feature IMHO and I can't wait until the last of the bugs are ironed out so Damon and Greg can implement it.
Next up was the raffle. And let's not forget the generous sponsors who donated products to the raffle (I'm going from memory on this, so if I forgot to name a vendor, please post a reply with anyone I missed): TT.net (various tt.net logo'd items), 300 Degree (BMC Braces and a camber kit), Importsextreme (2 pair of T-top bags), Oppaman Z (various items such as "Fairlady Z" front plates, posters, etc...), Yuichi (molding kits), Sport Z Magazine (subscription to SZM), SPL (gauge rings, shifter bushings) and I think COZ (steering rack bushing, Nismo oil cap, Nismo rad cap, and clear lenses for the rear marker lightS) - I really feel like I'm leaving someone out. I only managed to get pictures of the prize table before the drawing began. After that, I was too busy watching my tickets for a winning pick.

Assisting the raffle was our very own, the lovely Vanna Black:
 After the raffle, the awards.

My apologies to the 3rd place winner, I didn't get a chance to write down your name. Please raise your hand and identify yourself. I do recall that it was the very sharp looking grey TT with chromed stock wheels:

2nd Place went to cybercath and her 350Z. I must admit that after seeing her car, I have a newfound admiration for the 350Z. Her car is tastefully modified and pleasantly devoid of gawd-awful graphics, neon, and lambo doors. It was a well-deserved award:
As for 1st place......what can be said about the winning choice? Although, I believe that jdmz32smity felt that his car deserved to win, I don't think anyone can argue with who won this award. OK, OK, OK, enough stalling. First place went to.. . . . . . . . . . Pats300ZX:
But before Pat could get comfortable in his seat, he was back up again to accept the Admin's Award. It was a unanimous decision BTW.
Here's another picture of two of the three award winners with Damon indicating his approval:
It's no longer a secret that Damon and Greg were presented with drawings of their own cars. As you probably know, Jodecy was the artist who drew these pictures. The pictures cannot convey the overwhelmed reaction from Damon and Greg. Clearly, they were very touched by the gifts. Both pictures were signed by all who had attended the dinner.

Standing ovation:
Well, that's all of the pictures that I had from the dinner. Having attended all three tt.net dinners (the first one at Hooter's in NH, the second at the Queen Mary, and the third one here), I have to say that it will get harder each year to top the previous year's dinner. But then again, I'd settle for taking over a Wendy's or a Burger King just so we can hang out, exchange stories, and pick on each other without the fear of getting a red box stating that our post was deleted ;-) I can't wait to see what's in store for the '06 dinner. Being that it's in the "homeland", I'm sure there will be some genuine down home Texas hospitality, and more importantly some great Texas cooking. Once again, thanks to all who organized this event. But more importantly, thanks to all who purchased tickets to help make it possible - I'm referring to those who purchased tix but were not able to attend; all of you ROCK. Lastly, I applaud you for staying with such a long post. This post has received the GFSA (Greg Fields Seal of Approval) - I hope to get some more mileage out of this picture before it gets old :-)
 Thanks again everyone. Dave N.
